2015 — Ongoing
Bridge over swampy Bannoye Lake
Total highway length
Specialists from Consortium Energoresurs are engaged in the Frunze Bridge project which is classified as a "unique and complex technical structure" due to its 135 m long bridge spans.
Incremental launching was mainly supported by hydraulic jacks. A set of 32 jacks were used in the construction of Frunze Bridge, four of which pulled the structure, 16 jacks lifted it and the rest of them were used to adjust the position. Proper coordination is the key to success. That is why everything is being thoroughly checked before each "pull".
Around 2 000 tonnes of rebar and 5 000 m³ of concrete were used for the frame. The central part was the first to be cast. Concrete mixture was fed from the island with the operating crane. Casting was performed in the chequered pattern which allowed to ensure the balanced load distribution and avoid deformation.
The metal structures used in the project passed several examinations ranging from entry-level control at the production site and the metal composition test to the ultrasound testing of the welded joints during the launching. All the tests confirmed the high quality of the materials and construction processes being performed.
Under import substitution policy, all materials used for construction were produced in Russia and meet high international standards. This includes, for example, anti-corrosion coatings, geo-synthetic materials and asphalt mixture components.
